GSK Marietta Welcomes Its First Apprentice
On August 1, GSK Marietta proudly welcomed the first apprentice into its newly launched apprenticeship program in partnership with Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. This milestone reflects GSK’s commitment to investing in local talent and building the future workforce that will help deliver life-changing medicines and vaccines. Drawing on a U.S. Department of Labor registered apprenticeship model, participants combine hands-on experience at GSK with college coursework, gaining technical expertise, industry-recognized credentials, and valuable real-world experience while earning their degree.
Over the course of the program, apprentices rotate through multiple technical disciplines, work alongside experienced mentors, and develop critical skills in equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, safety, and manufacturing support.
